This was a game of missed opportunities on both sides ,mostly Keynsham.
In !the first half with the wind and slope in their favour the Keynsham scrum was dominate and after five minutes they scored a pushover try scored by Weston and converted by Weaver.
Keynsham continued pressing and from another scrum on the line Weston broke blind to feed pearce to score near the corner. The conversion failed.
Play became scrappy with a lot of handling errors on both sides but on the thirty minute mark a set piece throw in to the front of the line saw hooker Woodman break away down the touch line from our ten metre line to score in the corner . Weaver converted.
Keynsham missed many opportunities to score a bonus point try in the last ten minutes and half time came with the score at 19 -0 to Keynsham.
In the second half Keynsham lost their dominance in the scrum pushing up hill and Old Pats made great use of the wind and slope putting a lot of pressure on the Keynsham line. Their defense was excellent though.
The last twenty minutes saw Keynsham attacking and scoring a penalty by Weaver.
Two attacks in the Old Pats twenty two saw the ball go loose and was fly hacked by Old Pats to give them two tries ,one of which was converted.
In the last five minutes Old Pats kicked a penalty giving them a losing bonus point to leave the final score 15 - 22 to Keynsham.
